THE FLUFFIEST HALVA PANCAKES!! @bengingi’s first stack of buttermilk pancakes!!!! It’s an adaptation of the citrus-poppy pancakes from Jew-ish! HE’S NEVER GOING BACK!
1. In a large bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, sugar, vanilla, salt, cinnamon, and eggs until smooth. Add the flour, baking soda, and baking powder and whisk until just incorporated, the fold in the halva.
2. Melt a little butter in two medium skillets over medium heat. Add 1/2 cup batter to each and cook, flipping once, until golden brown and puffed, about 2 minutes per side. Transfer to a platter and repeat, adding more butter as needed, until all the pancakes are made.
3. Drizzle with chocolate-tahini sauce and/or maple syrup, the serve.
